"เดี่ยว s๑l๑" (Solo), a performance by artist-in-residence Kengchakaj, featuring live visuals by Nitcha Fame Tothong at Bangkok Kunsthalle, unfolded as a dialogue between memory, music, and time.

This event was held at Bangkok Kunsthalle on Saturday, July 11, 2026, marking the final performance of the artists' residency project.

Over the two-month program, Kengchakaj explored the possibilities of the Disklavier™ by beginning with live coding the instrument and combining it with recorded gong sounds, as well as field recordings gathered while walking through the Chinatown area near Bangkok Kunsthalle. Meanwhile, Nitcha developed the accompanying visuals in parallel. The residency also included an open-studio showcase, inviting audiences to engage with sound and music not only by listening, but by learning, unlearning, and playing with the room's acoustics alongside the Disklavier™ live.

All of this experience culminated in the final performance, staged in the round, with piano and speakers at the center and generative visuals moving across the floor. There was no stage and no fixed seating; the audience surrounded the performers, drawn into a fully immersive circle of sound and light.

Beginning with a deeply personal work dedicated to the artist's mother, the performance expanded into a reflection on contemporary Thailand through original compositions, improvisation, jazz, live vocals, and live visuals. Together, these elements created an experience in which sound continued to resonate.

Siam Music Yamaha was proud to support this performance through the Yamaha Disklavier™ Grand Piano DC3X ENPRO . Six Yamaha HS5i studio monitors were arranged around the piano, distributing sound throughout the space, while a Yamaha Rio3224-D stagebox managed the audio network, ensuring reliable signal distribution across the system.
