Biography

Kittima Molee embarked on her bassoon studies under the mentorship of John Mostad, former principal bassoonist of the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, at the College of Music, Mahidol University, where she graduated summa cum laude with both her undergraduate and graduate degrees. Her pursuit of excellence led to a full ASEA UNINET scholarship for advanced studies at the Universität Mozarteum in Salzburg, where she performed with prestigious ensembles, including the Bläserphilharmonie Mozarteum, Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg, Collegium Musicum Salzburg, and the Traunstein Youth Symphony.

Among Kittima’s notable performances in the region, she served as principal bassoonist with the International Youth Wind Orchestra at the 2005 WASBE Conference in Singapore, reached the semi-finals in the 2010 TEREM Crossover International Music Competition in St. Petersburg, and performed at the 2011 Asian Double Reed Association Conference and the 2018 Double Reed Weekend in Singapore. In 2023, she was featured as a soloist with the Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra for the Opening Gala Concert at the IDRS Conference, which she also co-hosted.

As a chamber musician, Kittima is an active performer in Bangkok and a founding member of the Sawasdee Woodwind Quintet, which has captivated audiences in Thailand, Singapore, Macao, China, and Malaysia, and made its U.S. debut at the IDRS Conference 2022 in Boulder, Colorado.

Dedicated to fostering the next generation of bassoonists in Thailand, Kittima is a co-founder of the Thailand Double Reed Society and has served as bassoon instructor for Thai Youth Winds. She currently teaches bassoon at the College of Music, Mahidol University, where she also serves as deputy principal for student management in the Young Artists Music Program and as associate principal bassoon of the Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra.

Kittima’s reputation as an educator has led to numerous invitations to serve as a jury member and masterclass instructor across national and international platforms, including the Rondo Fest, Double Reed Weekend in Singapore, Princess Galyani Youth Orchestra, Thai Youth Winds, International Music Competition OPUS in Poland, Yala Municipality Youth Orchestra, Thailand Double Reed Camp, and Singapore Youth Symphony Orchestra. She has also performed as a guest bassoonist with the Bandung Philharmonic Orchestra in Indonesia and the South Symphony Orchestra in India.

Throughout her career, Kittima has studied with bassoonists including Christopher Schaub, Yoshinori Honda-Tominaga, Krekkrai Tangnoi, Elizabeth Shoemaker, and John Mostad.

Suttiluk Puangsuwan

Sutthilak Puangsuwan is a full-time instructor teaching clarinet performance and music technology at St. Andrews International School Bangkok. Additionally, Sutthilak serves as a guest lecturer in clarinet performance within the classical music program at the Faculty of Music, Silpakorn University.
