Product Warranty Policy of Siam Music Yamaha Company Limited

This Product Warranty Policy is made and declared by Siam Music Yamaha Company Limited, a limited company duly incorporated and registered under the laws of Thailand, with Juristic Person Registration Number: 0105532090903, with its registered office located at No. 891/1 Siam Motors Building, 3rd, 4th, 15th, and 16th floors, Rama 1 Road, Wang Mai Sub-District, Pathumwan District, Bangkok 10330 (hereinafter referred to as the "Company").

To deliver the best experience to our Company’s customer who is a buyer and end-user of the Company’s Product under the trademark “Yamaha” in Thailand (hereinafter referred to as “Yamaha Customer”), the Company hereby grants a warranty for the Company’s Product that it will be free from manufacturing defects and defects under regular use throughout the warranty period. The terms and conditions of the aforesaid warranty are as follows:

  • 1. Definition of Warrantied Product
  • “Product” means product produced, ordered, imported, or distributed by Siam Music Yamaha Company Limited, or by an official distributor authorized by the Company, and purchased by the Yamaha Customer within the Kingdom of Thailand, provided always that there must be evidence indicating the serial number on the said product, along with a sales receipt with a clear message indicating the strictly matching serial number.

  • 2. Warranty Period
  • The warranty start date is the date specified on the sales receipt.

    The warranty expiry date is one calendar day before the date specified on the receipt for the following year.

    For example, if the receipt states October 1, 2023, and the warranty period is one year, so the last warranty coverage date is September 30, 2024, or, if the receipt states March 1, 2023, and the warranty period is five years, therefore, the last date the warranty period is February 29, 2028.

  • 3. Warranty Terms and Conditions and Special Warranty Extension Program
  • The Company will grant a warranty for the Product’s quality only to Yamaha Customer who has correctly registered the warranty with the Company according to the Company’s regulations as follows:

    If not registered via the E-Warranty system, Yamaha Customer can present the original warranty card and the original receipt of the payment for the Product in order to receive the warrantied service at the Company’s after-sales service center only during the standard warranty period.

    Nevertheless, if Yamaha Customer is interested in joining the Special Extended Warranty Program after receiving the delivery of his/her purchased Product, Yamaha Customers shall be responsible for checking the QR CODE warranty sticker on his/her purchased Product. If Yamaha Customer cannot find the warranty sticker on the said Product, Yamaha Customer is obliged to notify the Company within 7 days of receiving the delivery of his/her purchased Product (applicable only for the Products released from the Company’s warehouse from April 1, 2023 onwards, but will not applicable for (i) any and all discounted Products, which will have no attached warranty stickers and no warranty on the Product; (ii) any and all demo Products; (iii) any and all Products sold on an “as-is” condition; etc.). Yamaha Customer must complete warranty registration by scanning a QR CODE and registering via the E-warranty system within 15 days after receipt of the delivery of the Product in order to be eligible for participating in the Special Extended Warranty Program.

    The Company reserves the right to deny providing any and all of product warranty services if the registered information is false or incomplete.

    The warranty period for all the Company's Products shall be classified by product type and model, the details of which are appeared in the table attached at the end of this Product Warranty Policy.

  • 4. Parts of the Product in the Warranty
  • This warranty covers only internal components of the Product, such as the device's display panel, electrical, and mechanical systems.

  • 5. Exclusions from the Warranty
  • The Company's Product warranty does not cover any of the damages or defects that occur from any of the following causes:

    5.1 The Company will not grant a warranty for the Product in the case that the serial number of the Product or on the receipt of the payment for the Product has been altered, deleted, crossed out, or torn, or in the event that the product receipt or warranty card does not indicate the purchase date of the Product, or that the purchase date of the Product is faded to the point of being unclear to read, or has been deleted, altered, distorted, or forged.

    5.2 The Company will not grant a warranty for the Product in the event that (i) any part(s) of the Product has been removed, replaced, modified or repaired by any person(s) who is not an employee of Siam Music Yamaha Company Limited, or is not an employee of any of the Company’s service centers that have been appointed as official service providers by the Company; or (ii) for any of the Company’s Acoustic Piano Products that was not tuned by any of the Company's official/authorized tuners.

    5.3 The Company will not grant a warranty for (i) any and all demonstration Products; or (ii) any and all Products sold on an “as-is” or other condition(s) not covered by the warranty; or (iii) in any other case(s) as notified by the Company’s sales staff.

    5.4 The Company will not grant a warranty for the Product in the case that (i) the Product has been used not in line with the Product’s user manual; or (ii) the Product has been used not strictly in accordance with the instructions of the Company’s sales staff; or (iii) the Product has been cleaned in the wrong method, or by using the wrong type of cleaning material/substance: or (iv) the damage is caused by the negligence of Yamaha Customer or of a third party, such as improper use of electricity, improper installation or modification, or placing the Product in an inappropriate location, such as placing the Product under an air conditioner where there may be too much humidity or water dripping onto the Product, etc.

    5.5 The Company will not grant a warranty for the Product in the event that the Product is damaged or worn out due to normal use over its lifespan, such as cuts, tears, scratches, cracks, abrasions, bumps, stains, or rust marks on any external component of the Product.

    5.6 The Company will not grant a warranty for the Product in the event that the Product is damaged due to any of the external factors, natural disasters, animals, and/or the environment, such as fire, flood, lightning, earthquake, unstable power supply, and/or any animal or insect entering or destroying the Product, etc.

    5.7 The Company will not grant a warranty for the Product in the event that the Product is damaged due to (i) any abnormal symptom resulting from failure to maintain and clean it in a timely manner; (ii) the equipment inside the Product is dirty; (iii) or an installation of the Product is not up to standard or is made in the wrong way; or (iv) any use of plug, wire, or power cutter is not up to standard or wrong size, or etc.

    5.8 The Company will not grant a warranty for the Product in the event that the Product is damaged due to an accident such as dropping the Product, or spilling water or liquid on the Product, or etc.

    5.9 This warranty does not cover claims for damages or for any component missing from the Product after 7 days from the date of Product purchase.

    5.10 This warranty does not cover consequential, incidental or special damages or damages to third parties.

    The Company will have sole and absolute discretion in considering whether any claim for Product warranty is valid or not.

  • 6. Expenses for Sending Products to Repair or Claiming Product Warranty.
  • Yamaha Customer shall be responsible for the transportation costs of sending the Product covered by the warranty hereunder to be repaired at the Company’s service center, or the Company’s appointed service center, or the Company's authorized distributor. In the case of large-size Product, such as a piano, the Company will be responsible for the travel expenses of the technician who will provide repair services for the Product covered by the warranty hereunder at the premises of Yamaha Customers.
