Damrih Banawitayakit
Biography
Damrih Banawitayakit received his master degree in music performance from University of Miami and Harid Conservatory, and advanced certificate in oboe performance from Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. He studied oboe with Mr. Sampao Tri-udom at Chulalongkorn University, with Ms. Rhonda May at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, and Mr. Peter Cooper, the principal oboist of Colorado Symphony Orchestra. Damrih has recently received “Silpatorn Artist” Award 2023, the highest honor as an outstanding Thai contemporary artist from Ministry of Culture, Thailand.
Active as a music composer and arranger, Damrih also a very productive in conducting. His conducting performances are included musical ensembles such as New Siam Wind Orchestra, Metropole Stage Orchestra, Bangkok Symphony Orchestra and Dreambox Stage Orchestra @MTheatre and etc. He also appears as a guest conductor for the musical theatre: The Kiss of the Spider Woman in 2001 (Theatre 28 Production); Man of La Mancha at Ratchadalai Theatre in June 2008 (Co-production of Theatre 28 and Scenario); Kurt Weil’s The Three Penny Opera in 2009 (Nuni Production) and the production produced by Dreambox such as Koogum the musical in 2005, Mae Nak the Musical in 2008, Nam Sai Jai Jing The Musical in 2010, and Fame The Musical in 2011.
Damrih has written music compositions that combine the unique of western and eastern music in order to develop the new music creativities such as Rythms of Illumination; for Chinese solo ensemble and modern orchestra (2022), series of music compositions based on Thai literature “when grandpa and grandma were young” by Thipwanee Sanitwongs, the “Living Lines of Tiges” (2018), inspired by the series of paintings by HRH Princess Chulabhorn who went to the open ceremony of painting exhibition herself etc. Currently Damrih is a full time lecture at faculty of music, Silpakorn University, and the musical director of Feroci Philharmonic Wind Orchestra.
He also received the Silpathorn Artist Award 2023 in the music category from the Ministry of Culture office of Contemporary Art and Culture.

Thayarat Sopolpong
Thayarat Sopolpong is the Percussion teacher at Shrewsbury International School, Bangkok; First Percussionist of the Thai Symphony Orchestra; a percussionist with the Thai Classical Chamber Music ensembles Janram and Asian Sonic Force; and a member of the Stage Management Team for both the Thai Symphony Orchestra and the Sugree Charoensook Foundation.
