Yamaha Celebrates '125 Years of Passion & Performance' and Presents New Products and Services at Musikmesse 2013
Frankfurt, Germany - As Yamaha celebrates its 125th year, the company is rolling out exciting new products at Musikmesse 2013 that build on a long tradition of delivering performance, value, and technological innovation. Yamaha showcases new products, services, and technologies at the leading trade fair for the world of music from April 10th to 13th, 2013. Yamaha's main display for Musical Instruments can be found in the hall "Forum". All the latest Yamaha innovations in the field of Commercial Audio are being presented in the Hall 8.0 at the Prolight + Sound 2013 exhibition.
Yamaha is offering high-definition videos directly from our booth throughout the show at http://europe.yamaha.com/messe/ (English site) and http://de.yamaha.com/messe/ (German site). We will provide all details of our latest models, product interview videos, and digital catalogues as well as a series of interactive booth panoramas. Further, all our friends can follow us on our English YouTube and Facebook profiles.
"Musikmesse 2013 will be very different to previous years - it is the 125th Anniversary of Yamaha and we take great pride in this jubilee. We will unveil many new products and technologies and we will chronicle Yamaha's 125 year history where you will see our DNA as a manufacturer from the first instruments to what you see today, and much more." says Hiroshi Sasaki, President of Yamaha Music Europe.
Pianos
TransAcoustic Concept (TA). At the Musikmesse, Yamaha will launch a product that combines the most traditional of instruments, the acoustic piano, with the latest technology to create a new instrument that will revolutionize the future of pianos. It is a prime example of Yamaha's core strengths: 125 years of craftsmanship combined with leading edge innovations in one instrument. The new technology is called "TransAcoustic Concept (TA)" and will be demonstrated on a C3X concept model at the Yamaha booth. Visitors will be given a first look at a revolution likely to rewrite the history of piano manufacturing. The TransAcoustic Concept technology truly bridges the gap between acoustic and digital pianos, and it illustrates Yamaha's unique ability to create stunning innovations.
New CX Series. Yamaha also presents the new CX Series Grand Pianos - the birth of a new series of grand pianos that builds on the legacy of Yamaha's CFX concert grand piano. The CX Series pianos represent progress that is commensurate with Yamaha's 125th anniversary year.
Digital Pianos and Keyboards
CVP-609, CVP-605. The Clavinova CVP 600 Series will expand the range of your musical enjoyment. Getting to grips with the most powerful Clavinova couldn't ever be easier. The New CVP-605 and 609 feature intuitive colored touch screens that take you right to the heart of the instrument. So whether you're lifting the lid of a concert grand piano, placing it in a different room, adjusting organ drawbars or mixing your backing band, it's all there in an instant. Thanks to 'Real Grand Expression' you can achieve a performance feeling just like that of a grand piano: perfect sound, touch, and pedals.
ARIUS YDP-142, YDP-162. Perfect for beginners and experienced players alike, the ARIUS YDP-142 and YDP-162 provide true piano tone and touch. While the Graded Hammer Standard keyboard on the YDP-142 makes it a true joy to play, the YDP-162 features the GH keyboard with synthetic ivory key tops, perfect for both practice and performance. Both models come with the Pure CF Sound Engine.
PSR-E343, PSR-E243. The new E-Series keyboards PSR-E343 and PSR-E243 offer everything you need to make high-quality music, including Yamaha Education Suite learn-to-play functions, in an affordable package. Both models have a totally new design and provide players with more sounds and styles to explore than ever before. And some brand new apps will ensure even more joy and fun.

5, 6, and 7 Series Professional Flutes. Yamaha's new 5, 6, and 7 series flutes set new standards for musicality, craftsmanship, and expression. Inspired by Yamaha's handmade gold and silver flutes, this new series of flutes benefits from the technical knowledge of some of the most gifted artisans in the world, whose understanding of the flute comes from working closely with the world's finest flutists.
62 and 82Z Series Saxophones. After rigorous testing with artists from around the world, Yamaha has managed to implement a number of significant new specifications that enhance the sound and feel for players. Both the new 62 and new 82Z have had some great new features added to improve these already well received instruments.
Custom Handmade Saxophone neck range. Making it easier for players to select the best neck for their playing, the new range offers a wide selection of playing possibilities with different finishes presenting further variety of sounds. Also for the first time, Yamaha is offering solid silver necks.
Neo YCR-8335/8620 True to its meaning "Modern Form", Neo brass instruments are based upon knowledge accumulated through developmental research at the molecular level. The new Neo Bb cornet is a much anticipated addition to the Neo range and was developed with 3 of brass banding's most well known cornet players. We are also delighted to be adding the Neo Eb soprano cornet to the range. The new Neo Eb bass with its heavier sound, more projection, and power completes the Neo bass line up.
Xeno Artist YTR-9445CHS. Refined and renewed, the new Chicago C Xeno Artist model has a number of fantastic new features. The new bell taper, MC1 leadpipe, a lightweight valve casing concept, and the refined knuckle bend angle give this trumpet a quick response, optimized resistance, and easy upper register.
