Biography

Panthit Rojwatham, He is currently works as a freelance timpanist and percussionist with various orchestras, including the Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra, Pro Musica, and Mai Tai Orchestra. In his teaching role, he instructs percussion performance, music theory, aural training, and music history in the Silpakorn Music Honors Program. Furthermore, Panthit has performed in Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, the Netherlands, the United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, and the USA. He has had the opportunity to perform in renowned concert halls such as the Wiener Musikverein (Golden Hall) in Vienna, Konzerthaus Berlin, Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, Esplanade Concert Hall in Singapore, and Carnegie Hall in New York.


Music Education History

• Graduated from the Silpakorn Music Honors Program at Wat Suthiwararam School, achieving the highest academic record in the music field. (Class of 2009)

• Graduated with a Bachelor of Music from the Faculty of Music at Silpakorn University, earning First-Class Honors in percussion performance. (Class of 2013)

• Completed the “Silpakorn Summer Music School” as a percussionist and timpanist under the direction of Maestro Hikotaro Yazaki. (2009-2013)

Awards and Honors

• Won 1st Prize in the world-class youth orchestra competition “Summa Cum Laude 2012” at the Wiener Musikverein (Golden Hall) in Vienna, Austria, as the principal percussionist of Siam Sinfonietta.

• Won the Gold Medal in the "World Music Contest 2013" for the world-class percussion ensemble division in Kerkrade, Netherlands, as the timpanist of Viridian Percussion Ensemble.

• Won 1st Prize in the "Thailand Drumline Contest 2013" as the principal vibraphonist of Viridian Percussion Ensemble.


Teaching Experience

• Instructor in the Silpakorn Music Honors Program, teaching classes in Percussion Performance, Music Theory, Aural Training, and Music History.

• Percussion Artist supported by Yamaha Music Thailand.

• Drum set and percussion instructor at Rugby School Thailand.

• Expert and trainer in percussion and timpani performance for orchestras and symphonic bands.

• Instructor of Music Theory and Aural Skills at MCGP, College of Music, Mahidol University. (2018-2022)
